Give That Man a Wedgie.

Am I serious? No, it wouldn’t be worth the effort. Not only am I not a fan of violence, if you even hinted at having intent to give him a wedgie, he’d sue you. Fortunately, it would probably be with the same level of effect and forethought as his campaign of sending out cease and desist letters to people who post this picture on the Internet:

For clarity, this is a still from an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity & Colmes” in 2005.

Yes, this is the same Michael Crook I believe had absolutely nothing to do with the hate card sent to Josh Sparling (his own claims to the contrary).

I’m skeptical about Michael Crook being the actual author of the card. The kid has his domains hosted on a service that has a fairly paranoid whois server as a selling point (annoying), there’s little identifying information anywhere on there… he’s willing to meet at radio and TV stations… because they’re public. I seriously doubt this is the kind of person who seeks private confrontation, or would initiate it. If he did, then the last thing he would do is admit it. Seriously, look at his whole McDonald’s thing – he seeks situations where a Goliath seeks him out because of something he’s doing on his turf, so he can play the part of David in his own mind.

This is the same sort of thing. People are posting his face on the internet (it’s not the publicity he has a problem with), and he is lashing out at them in an attempt to portray himself as wronged (though it’s very, very hard to describe one’s self as wronged when you were on the opposing side of a lawsuit with the 10 Zen Monkeys and the EFF.

Oh, and here’s his side of the story – at least the side of the story that he came out with before 10 Zen Monkeys and the EFF handed him his behind in court, and he was obligated to record an open apology as part of the settlement.

Why do I feel like a small, small part of the Josh Sparling and the Hate Card saga is over?

The initial motivation to write this came from this post at the Liberal Avenger about Josh Sparling allegedly being spit on by protesters, Chinchillas to Binky, who rocks.

One person talking.
