I didn’t think there was any “there” there with Tom Foley, having only seen a few e-mail excerpts that seeeeeemed odd, but not outrageously so…
Turns out there is not only a “there,” it’s big, ugly, and immediate enough for resignation, talking about explicit IMs and stuff…

Update: Say, Harris is looking for a campaign to run in where she’d look good. Right now, compared to Foley, she looks like Ghandi! Maybe she should take this opportunity (try) to go back to the House?

Is it just me, or is our GOP government doing its best not only to out-do any amount of corruption (in both ethical and moral senses) that the Dems ever managed?
Wait a sec, that’s not it.
It’s possible that they’re more corrupt, it’s possible that they’re not. What they are is possessed of an arrogance and a sense of entitlement that is unmatched by anything seen since the gilded age – and by “they,” I mean most of the GOP, and an as-yet-unknown, but probably smaller number of Democrats – And the ultra-rich who they are a part of. This is what happens when the elite that has been ruling by propaganda and playing us off against one another decides they don’t have to work so hard at keeping the mask on anymore.
And to be specific – I’m ticked at Foley for two things: chatting up underage kids, and being a santimonious prick about other people’s morality. And doing both at the same time.
Okay, three things.
