Lauren at Feministe is stepping away from blogging for a while. My take on this? When the real world asserts itself, you don’t argue with it.
The neat thing, is that this gives me a chance to go back and read her old posts that I’ve missed.

“Soon” and “in a little while” – the two responses my children hate to hear. Because essentially in our house they both mean “I’m not going to get around to it anytime soon because I’m way busy doing a bunch of other things and if you really want it done you’d be best off doing it yourself, which is actually a good thing because you’ll be learning new skills and developing independence and so by refusing your request I’m actually being a very wise and loving parent so please run off and handle it yourself, there’s a good girl” but that’s just too damn long to say every time.
