Troopergate's conclusion in a few easy steps (with a coda)

Governor Palin did, indeed do something out of bounds.

She (and the McCain camp) are declaring that the report has vindicated her entirely.

This must have surprised Palin and McCain, since they’ve been saying the investigation was a partisan effort.

The idea that it’s a positive thing for her is certainly news to her lawyers).

Meanwhile, the GOP Truth Squad members are acting with all the class and tact you’d expect of an organization that combines the ideas of GOP and Truth.

An interesting note it the report is that Todd Palin won’t mind his own damn business.

But she’s a religious woman, so it must be all right.

By the way, we’ve seen this in a candidate before, along with the celebrated exoneration (that isn’t so much). Perhaps Bush is just better at fixing outcomes.

Let’s not do this again people, ‘kay? ‘kay.

Humorous trip in the WayBack Machine: a blog post on a Really Big Blog from 2003 titled “Why Do They Hate Him?” Now with more rel=”nofollow” and anonym.to! Yes, I know it’s against the spirit of the blogosphere. In my opinion, so are Powerline and most other Internet Stupidity Propagation Machines.

Call me an elitist, and I will wave my two-pump venti mocha latte at you.
