In lieu of nothing, though, John Podhoretz (otherwise known as “that fathead”) forgets that not only was the ACA a loss for liberals to begin with, not only was it a victory for those who believe in private-sector solutions (like supposed Conservatives), but that we’ve been worried about what the Roberts court would do to it ever since it passed. Instead, he engages in the thrashing of straw-liberals, when what actually happened is that nothing else the court did compared to Scalia flipping out over either wildly inappropriate comparisons, or parts of the bill that never made it into the law. I’m not saying Scalia’s stupid, but he is definitely phoning it in. Hardcore.
